Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how you can control it.
Last updated: August 1, 2026
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. "Local storage" is a similar browser mechanism that lets a site remember a small amount of information between visits. This website (the "Site") uses both sparingly.
2. What we use
- Strictly necessary — a single local-storage entry recording your response to the cookie notice, so the notice is not shown on every page view. This cannot be disabled without disabling storage in your browser.
- Functional — transient browser state used to render interactive features such as the community map and the navigation menu. This information stays on your device.
- Aggregate analytics (where enabled) — anonymous, aggregate page-view measurement used solely to understand which editorial content is useful. We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, retargeting tags, or data brokers, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Third-party sites
The Site links to independent third-party businesses and to public resources. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. Once you leave the Site, this policy no longer applies.
4. Your controls
You may choose "Essential Only" in the cookie notice, and you may block or delete cookies and clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers also support "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals; where an analytics provider honors those signals, they are respected. Blocking storage may cause the cookie notice to reappear on each visit.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
